As our Tectum Manager, your territory will cover the West region (including Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Utah, New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada, and California), where you will own all actions with sales reps, independent reps, architects, owners, facility managers, contractors, and distributors to influence the specification and sales of Tectum and Exposed Structure commercial ceiling wall and roof deck systems within the defined geography.

What you'll be doing:
  • Drive communication and coordination between US sales force and Tectum Agents & Employees to improve the team's ability to win projects.
  • Develops and maintains strong relationships with key decision-makers & stakeholders to drive excellence in Spec-Track-Close process related to assigned product categories (Tectum and Tectum Roof Deck).
  • Drive specifications of Tectum product line through direct interaction with architectural community and through Tectum agent network
  • Own tracking & follow up on Tectum opportunities with new construction and renovation projects in the Americas in assigned geography. Documents activity in CRM system as required.
  • Grow the business by increasing market share, improving product mix, increasing average unit price, increasing unit volume, and closing major projects with Tectum.
  • Function effectively as a member of a focused selling team to achieve individual, team and business objectives for Tectum and assigned product categories in Architectural Specialties.
  • Manage & own opportunity leads to determine ownership of sales efforts, integrating sales teams' and agents' efforts for Tectum and exposed structure growth.
  • Actively coordinates and drives ownership with Armstrong sales managers and management to assure alignment of job specification, tracking and closing activity.

What will make you successful:
  • Bachelor's Degree in business, construction management, architecture/interior design or related field
  • Five years of sales experience within the commercial construction industry
  • Highly organized and self-motivated
  • Acute level of initiative to plan and schedule work from a home-office environment
  • Proficiency with computer software and today's technology a must
  • Success within the world of architectural selling and/or consulting
  • Team player with a strong focus on achieving and exceeding goals
  • Excellent communicator who thrives in a relationship-building environment

Supervisory Responsibilities: Manages assigned independent agents within defined territory.
