Job Title: Test EngineerJob DescriptionWe are looking for a Test Engineer responsible for supporting our Test Department with the development of Engineered to Order (ETO) products. You will test and validate new products, including modifications of standard products, new custom designs, and application of standard products. The primary focus will be on Industrial and Alternative Energy products, including solutions in Photovoltaic, Energy Storage, BOS Cabling Solutions, Power Transmission and Distribution, Modular and Circular Connector, and Automated Charging Markets. Responsibilities include: - Acquisition, interpretation, and presentation of test data into oral and formal written reports and/or graphical charts. - Preparation, coordination, and execution of development and type tests, as well as damage analyses in various areas like Electrical, Mechanical, Visual, Environmental, and Thermal measurements. - Understanding and interpreting applicable industry standards. - Developing and maintaining novel fixtures, automation, and test setups. - Designing, developing, and maintaining automation and custom test programming for equipment interaction using PLCs and/or LabVIEW. - Providing feedback to engineering regarding mechanical and electrical design, optimization, and end-user safety. - Explaining technical principles, processes, and concepts to colleagues. - Creating and maintaining work instructions for lab equipment calibration and routine maintenance. - Communicating effectively with the technical staff, handling questions promptly, and explaining decisions concisely.Hard Skills
Experience in the test field and general measurement technology
Handling measuring devices and testing machines
Design, develop, and maintain automation and custom test programming using PLCs and/or LabVIEW
Working knowledge of National Electric Code, NFPA70E, Shock & Arc-Flash Hazards
Experience applying hazardous work controls, safety requirements, and best practices
Familiarity with International Standards from UL, IEC, VDE, DIN, ASTM, TüV, and ANSI

The other half are field sales engineers across North America. The engineering department itself has 14 people. Hours: Mon - Thurs: 8am - 5pm, Fri: 8am - 2pm.
