Test Engineer Board Bring Up Looking for a HW test engineer to be part of a multi-disciplinary R&D team. The person should be solid with board bring-up, debug, & troubleshooting. This person should be very hands on and comfortable with bench test equipment and experienced with mixed signal and high-speed electronics (signal integrity, eye diagrams, etc). Scope: Responsible for bring up, testing and characterization of mixed signal and high speed circuit card assemblies including signal integrity characterization and network analyzer measurements. Develop custom in-house test platforms for hardware and software verification for both engineering teams and contract manufacturers. Required: Three (3) or more years relevant industry experience of hardware integration and test specifically focused on board bring up, debug, & troubleshooting. Proficient in using lab test equipment including oscilloscopes, BERT, functional generators, spectrum analyzer, network analyzer and network test equipment. Experience with mixed signal and high-speed electronics (signal integrity, eye diagrams are a must have). Ability and experience delivering stable, repeatable, and reliable test results Pluses: Experience with network test equipment, analog/mixed signal and high-speed circuit testing and handling fiber-optics. Optics experience including handling sensitive lenses, splicing fibers, and operating in clean rooms. Electro-optical test experience including optical spectrum analyzers, optical power meters, evaluation of high sensitivity detectors and laser safety. Schematic design and layout expertise Experience soldering and re-working boards (replacing discretes down to 0402, dead-bugging, trace cutting and patch wiring) Experience in scripting languages eg.
