Redding transport business seeks Flatbed Dispatcher!

We are looking for a motivated, dependable self-starter!

Starting wage is $28.00Training Schedule: Monday thru Friday 7am-4:30pm

Work schedule (after training) to be determined.

Position overview: Manage the daily scheduling and dispatching of flatbed trucks to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods

Required skills and duties:

Excellent communication skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and a keen eye for detail

Schedule and dispatch flatbed drivers to appropriate locations

Monitor weather conditions, traffic patterns, and road conditions to proactively adjust schedules as needed.

Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, company policies, and safety protocols.

Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, driver logs, and shipment documentation.

Exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving any delivery-related issues promptly.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications in logistics or transportation are a plus.

Previous experience as a dispatcher, preferably in the flatbed or trucking industry.

Strong understanding of DOT regulations and transportation industry standards.

Proficiency in dispatch software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Excellent communication and multitasking skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Preferred Skills:

Experience working with flatbed equipment and related freight requirements.

Familiarity with load securement practices and relevant safety protocols.

Bilingual capabilities are a plus.

Work Environment:

This position may require occasional extended hours and weekend availability to meet business needs.
