They are training the intellectual leaders of the next generation. They help students develop the problem-solving skills they need to confidently tackle challenging problems and not only in mathematics. Over time, they have expanded into subjects like physics, programming, and language arts. Across different disciplines, our approach is to help students build a deep foundational understanding of a few critical concepts that they can then apply across a wide range of problems. Students are encouraged to play, experiment, fail and persevere building the flexibility, creativity, and determination needed to confidently tackle the tough problems they will face as adults. Students learn in different ways, so they offer resources in a variety of different formats, and they ve built a community where students can connect and collaborate with their peers. They hope to keep growing this community of interdisciplinary problem solvers to be ready for the complex ideas that are yet to come.

What you will be doing:
  • Lead user experience efforts and set vision for user experience across our suite of educational products
  • Collaborate closely with our Product and Marketing teams to set design strategy, optimize existing user interfaces and experiences, and conceptualize user interfaces and experiences for new products and features
  • Create, share, and iterate through ideas via storyboards, user flows, wireframes, mock-ups, prototypes, or other methods
  • Collaborate with Art, Engineering, and Project Management to translate those ideas through implementation into delightful experiences
  • Create a user-centric and data-driven culture by conducting user research, interviews, surveys, and user testing and by analyzing the data and outcomes of user experience projects
  • Establish the UX/UI domain by developing processes, standards, and best practices for design, testing, and research

What you will need:
  • At least 5 years of UX/UI or Product Design experience, ideally including experience at the Manager or Director level
  • Solid online portfolio showcasing exceptional visual design skills with a focus on user-centered design
  • Experience owning design strategy, conducting research, and participating in the design process from end-to-end
  • Experience leading multiple strategic projects and working collaboratively across teams
  • Excellent communication, organization, and decision-making skills
