Validation Support Technician II

• An understanding of DRAM/DIMM and different memory technologies is helpful.
• Diagnose a system/platform failure and file it with all required information with minimum assistance from senior technician.
• Operational proficiency in assigned area.
• Edit and Maintain test documentation and suggest improvements.
• Tracks and ensures assigned area system reworks are implemented.
• Prepare documentation and provides engineers with status update on validation testing.
• Working closely with Validation Engineers, performs validation testing on memory modules installed in platforms inside thermal chambers using UNIX and DOS based software.
• Network HW configuration and cabling.
• Build platforms according to hardware and software configurations per test plan(s).
• Accurately read/understand/follow/record test documentation.
• Start and stop test executions and record in appropriate database the test results.
• Diagnose a system/platform failure.
• Technical understanding of a test case failure at a high level.
• Maintain and repair execution platforms, debug platforms, PCs, etc.
• Manage equipment inventory (test cards, test systems, etc.) and entering into inventory systems if needed.
• Should have good knowledge of using SW such as Microsoft Windows, Office (Outlook, Excel, and Word).
