Verification & Validation Engineer

V&V Engineer Irvine CA 1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field or Master's degree in field 2. Test Management & Test Methodologies (Integration, Verification & Validation) 3. Expertise in common test practices (Automation, Functional & Non-Function tests, use cases) 4. Ability to read and interpret requirement documentation 5. Deep knowledge of Unix /Linux/ Android systems 6. Deep knowledge of Ethernet networks 7. Deep knowledge of common defect management and tools (ClearQuest, JIRA) 8. Knowledge of Agile and common tools (JIRA, VersionOne) 9. analytical abilities 10. Familiarity with common system weaknesses (race conditions, synchronization problems, border values, intermittent problems in SW & HW) 11. Ability to understand and create test cases 12. Comfortable with handling and performing troubleshooting on software & hardware 13. Attention to detail Experience in the aerospace industry; avionics experience preferred Experience in an engineering integration, verification or validation team Understanding of software development methods and electrical/mechanical design User Interfaces, Networking, SATCOM, and/or communication systems test experience Software and/or Hardware development design experience Experience in Test Automation
