Veterinarian and/or Ownership Opportunity

We are a small-animal veterinary clinic located in Santa Monica, CA, preparing for an exciting relaunch after being temporarily closed for several months. This is a unique opportunity for a motivated veterinarian to step into a leadership role and help rebuild a modern, community-focused practice from the ground up or purchase the clinic for a discounted price With a strong local client base ready to return and the support of an established ownership team, we’re looking for a DVM who wants to grow the clinic around them or purchase it outright.

Position Overview

We are seeking a veterinarian with a passion for leadership, entrepreneurship, and high-quality medicine. The ideal candidate is excited by the challenge and reward of revitalizing a clinic—shaping medical standards, influencing hiring, rebuilding client trust, and designing the culture of the hospital.

This role can evolve into Owner, Medical Director, Co-Owner, or Future Owner, based on your ambition and performance.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Care

Provide high-quality medical, surgical, and dental services

Build strong, lasting client relationships as the clinical lead of the relaunch

Help shape a positive, efficient, and low-stress workflow for the new team

Leadership & Medical Direction

Establish and maintain medical standards, protocols, and best practices

Assist with hiring and training veterinary and support staff

Serve as a medical mentor and cultural leader as the clinic reopens

Practice Relaunch & Growth

Play a key role in reopening the clinic and reintroducing it to the community

Partner on decisions around equipment, services, and patient experience

Collaborate on marketing, outreach, and reputation rebuilding

Help drive practice growth, client retention, and long-term sustainability

Ownership Track (Optional)

Transparent pathways for equity, co-ownership, or eventual full ownership

Involvement in strategic planning, financial decisions, and practice development

Qualifications

DVM

3+ years clinical experience (leadership experience preferred)

Entrepreneurial mindset: motivated by building, improving, and growing

Strong communicator, mentor, and relationship-builder

Comfortable taking a key role in a clinic relaunch project
