Veterinary Assistant

We are full service veterinary hospital looking for a motivated, energetic and compassionate individual willing to work together as a team, a positive attitude is a must.

Experience or non experience welcome

Future vet students, UC Irvine students, Irvine Valley College students are also welcome.

Responsibilities include: client relations, nursing care, housekeeping/maintenance, cleaning, examination, record keeping, anesthesia monitor, surgery assistant , radiology and inventory management etc.

About the role:

Your day-to-day responsibilities may include:

Assisting veterinarians with animal examinations and surgical procedures.

Handling and restraining animals with care and confidence

Preparing and sterilizing exam rooms, equipment, and surgical tools.

Performing routine tasks, such as administering medications and collecting lab samples.

Educating clients on animal care, nutrition, and post-operative instructions.

Maintaining accurate patient records and providing exceptional customer service.

Passion for animal welfare and a positive attitude.

Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or animal care setting is preferred.

The ability to communicate effectively with clients and team

Strong organizational skills and an impeccable attention to detail.

The physical stamina to handle lifting and standing for long periods.

Availability to work Part-time ( Possible full time depending nurse's schedule ).
