Veterinary Client Service Representative

VCA Olympiad Animal Hospital, located near the beautiful lake in Mission Viejo, is searching for an experienced Veterinary Receptionist (Client Service Representative) to join our team! Part-time and Full-time applicants will be considered.We are a primary care veterinary practice that offers wellness and sick appointments, preventative care, general surgery, and dental services.DUTIES INCLUDE: Customer service functions, including: welcoming visitors, answering phone calls, and guiding clients and their pets to exam rooms as well as collecting brief medical histories, weights, and temperartures Scheduling and confirming appointments Presenting and explaining fees, including processing payments Supporting doctors, technicians, and management Answering questions regarding products and services, including educating clients on general animal husbandry and non-medical pet care (i.e., heartworm prevention, housebreaking, and flea & tick control) Managing medical records, charts, reports and correspondence Keeping workspace and lobby clean, including cleaning up after pets Driving VCA initiatives for positive client experience and retention.QUALIFICATIONS:Prior Veterinary ExperienceFriendly and personable team playerOutstanding customer service skillsThe ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and be exposed to hazards associated with pets such as allergies, contagious diseases, noises, odors, bites, scratches, and animal wasteThe pay range for this position ranges from $17 to $20 per hour depending on experience, certification, etc. We offer 8-hour shifts.
