Candidate should have both Design and hands-on experience to the environments.Responsibilities:Designs, builds and implements moderately complex offerings specifically within the VMWare platform.Strong knowledge of Dell Technologies and VMWare Cloud Solutions to help accelerate digital transformation.Manages moderately complex continuous build, test integration and deployment of platforms and pipelinesDeploys low to moderate complexity infrastructure (inter-linking systems)Configures, manages and troubleshoots moderate to highly complexity systems of scale (Cloud, virtualization, virtualized networks and storage, colocation, etc.)Maintains and updates critical tools and infrastructure with strong focus on Cloud-based services and technologyDevelops basic tools, scripts and frameworks that drive efficiency in automation, monitoring and management of large scale environmentsResponds to and troubleshoots from low to highly complex operations issuesLeads project team members and medium to larger scale effortsMaintains current on industry trends and contributes to the execution of the technology roadmap and strategyQualifications:Minimum of 10 years doing VMware ESXi and vCenter deployments and administration. This includes building new infrastructure on bare metal infrastructure.Able to design different configurations of vCenter implementation and to create vROPS reports for analysis.Able to write design and support documents of both ESXi and vCenter operations i.e. – patching, adding to clusters, logging etc.Able to assist infrastructure team in writing sections of an Infrastructure Design Specifications to outline the details of how the virtualize environment was design/built.Able to support multi-site deployment of ESXi clusters and vCenter HAAble to work with Windows deployment of several hundred OS Guest.Understand how network communications and storage configuration work with ESXiGood verbal and written communication skillsWorking a large technical team to achieve deployment objectives.Computer Science degree or equivalent experience5+ years in Cloud platform technologiesExperience working in Agile/ScrumDesired:Experience with Dell EMC VxRails along with large scale Dell servers with Graphical capabilitiesVMWare technology certificationsExperience with tooling to support monitoring, telemetry, logging, and reporting/ dashboarding and continuous delivery technologiesExperience with VMware NSX-V and NSX-TExperience with VMWare Cloud Foundation VTSP, Site Recovery Manager (SRM), vSAN,Experience with SAN Storage and data protection solutions (Dell PowerStore/PowerMax, RP4VM, Avamar, Networker)Experience how to do data protection with large virtualize environmentExperience with Pivotal KubernetesExperience with configuration management and automation tools such as Chef, Puppet, Ansible, and TerraformKnowledge of Systems administration in OS platforms (Linux/Unix, Windows); understanding of networking fundamentals such as DNS, HTTP, TCP/IPKnowledge, Skills, Abilities, CompetenciesKnowledge of Cloud computing technologiesKnowledge of Agile software development principles, values, concepts, methods, best practices, and techniques as needed to perform at the job levelCompetency in building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectivesCompetency in actively seeking new ways to grow and be challenged using both formal and informal development channelsContinuous learning and self-development mindset
