Organization:SHSO- Executive ServicesPosition Overview:The Vice President of Digital Access will be a key leader on the Chief Digital Officer’s team. This position will provide leadership and guidance in critical areas that cross Information Services, Analytics, and Digital in support of the organization’s enterprise digital access goals. This position will partner with other key leaders across the organization and should work well in a collaborative environment. Oversight will include certain Epic applications, including but not limited to scheduling, customer relationship management, and patient portal integration, as well as data and analytics development.Job Description :Education:

Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s in computer science, business or related field preferred or equivalent experience.

Experience:

8-10 years in progressive senior leadership roles, with responsible leadership and management in an information systems environment is required.

Proven extensive experience working with vendors, company executives, and information technology to manage complex information systems projects is required.

Previous management experience in the evolvement, deployment and utilization of healthcare information technology in a healthcare, financial or business environment and healthcare operations is required.

Significant experience with managing multiple projects, systems methodologies, information systems development and/or production support environments, integrating healthcare industry applications including clinical, laboratory, radiology, nursing, pharmacy, financial, and physician management software is desired.

Knowledge:

Proven/demonstrated understanding of and success in the management techniques and communication skills needed to successfully direct and oversee complex healthcare IT implementation projects, services and support is required.

Sound understanding of healthcare operations including, but not limited to hospitals, clinics, medical offices, and information technology needs; a comprehensive understanding of business operations and financial management processes; a thorough understanding of current trends and strategies in healthcare and their application to information technologies is required.

Knowledge of ongoing national healthcare compliance and financial requirements both of a federal and state level is required.

Skills:

Strong managerial and leadership skills and abilities are required.

Proven interpersonal, oral, presentation and written communication skills are desired.

Must have seasoned management skills reflecting proven organizational, analytical, problem solving and project management abilities.

Demonstrated ability to influence without direct control/authority and to engage in positive, powerful persuasion with individuals or groups with diverse opinions; ability to influence and facilitate administrative and executive teams as needed to ensure effective management of complex, multi-faceted system projects is required.

Must have the ability to work independently, prioritize multiple objectives in a rapidly changing environment, and deliver quality products.

Negotiation skills and development of contract terms are required.

Must be able to enlist cooperation and build teams committed to carrying out initiatives in environments that may be resistant to change and not under the incumbent’s direct authority.

The incumbent supports and mentors staff to develop effective management technique and methods.

Development of Director Level leadership and must ensure clinical/business application direct report areas are proficient at specifying user software requirements; interacting with technical teams and vendors; developing comprehensive detailed documentation of systems, protocols, issues and progress; and ensure proactive communication and/or dissemination of such to key stakeholders.

​Pay Range: 143.03-193.51The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Sutter Health.
