VP/Director of Finance

Description Robert Half Management Resources is recruiting for an interim CFO to support our law firm client on a 1–2-month remote project. The interim CFO will review our client's profit and loss and income statements in order to ascertain their current financial status and help paint a picture of their practice. You will also review loans, interest paid, etc. to assist them in making future decisions about the firm. Finally, you will help build budgets and financial forecasts so that they can prime themselves for future growth. The CFO will provide strategic insight based on financial analyses and guide our clients' firm to financial stability during this timeframe.Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough reviews of the company's financial operations, including budgeting, financial forecasting, and performance.

Develop short-term financial strategies tailored to the firm's immediate goals and targets.

Prepare regular financial reports and analyses including profit and loss statements and income statements.

Propose necessary adjustments or improvements to financial modalities, based on evaluations.

Ensure that findings are clearly communicated to the senior management team.

Assist management in financial decisions and planning, relevant to the firm's strategic direction.

Maintain updated knowledge of changes and developments within the legal sector that could potentially impact the financial health of the firm.

Comply with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A CPA, MBA, or relevant qualification is preferred.

Prior experience as CFO, finance officer, or similar role, preferably in a legal context.

Strong understanding of data analysis, risk management, and financial forecasting.

Proficiency in corporate finance law and risk management practices.

Excellent skills in accounting software and financial management tools.

Superb communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Proven ability to work effectively under a short timeframe.
