Description Robert Half is actively recruiting for a knowledgeable VP of Finance/ Consultant for a publicly traded Aerospace/ Manufacturing company. The consultant’s primary responsibilities will be analyzing quarterly and annual financial reports in preparation for Senior Management and Board presentations. This will include creating a bridge analysis for major income statement accounts by quarter over quarter and year over year, creating detailed supporting documentation with deep granularity by account details including deep dives into inventory (raw materials, work-in-process, finished goods, labor, and overhead). Key focus on being able to interpret financial data and "telling a story" and reasons for variance and flux changes with an extensive explanation of why increases and decreases occur. This role will be located onsite in Brea, CA. Skills: -CPA / MBA preferred-Manufacturing experience required

Large ERP experience preferred (Syteline, Epicor, SAP, Oracle)

-Previous experience in senior financial management in publicly traded companies.-Proficient in financial bridge analysis, forecasting, and financial software.-Excellent presentation, communication, leadership, and organizational skills.-Advanced Excel skills required-Excellent written/verbal communication skills required-Must be able to work independentlySoft Skills:

Requirements

Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a finance leadership role, ideally within the Manufacturing industry. Proficiency in financial analysis and financial planning & analysis (FP& A) is critical. Demonstrated experience in variance analysis, including but not limited to bridge, analyze variance, cost variance, inventory variance, manufacturing variance, and purchase price variance. Must be able to provide clear and concise variance explanations and monthly variance reports. Proven ability to lead a team and make strategic financial decisions for the company. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential. Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. An MBA or similar advanced degree is highly preferred. Certification such as CPA, CFA, or CMA is advantageous. Demonstrated expertise in using financial software and databases. Must be able to handle confidential information in a discreet manner. Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically and analytically. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to drive financial planning. Must be detail-oriented and have strong organizational skills. Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial staff and stakeholders. A high level of integrity, accuracy, dependability, enthusiasm, and confidentiality.
