Job Description:
As a Water Damage Technician, you will play a key role in the restoration process, assisting clients in recovering from water damage due to flooding, leaks, or other water-related emergencies. Your primary responsibilities will include performing water extraction, drying, cleaning, and restoration services on residential and commercial properties. You will be expected to respond quickly to emergency situations, assess the extent of the damage, and ensure high-quality service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Respond to emergency water damage calls in a timely and professional manner.
Conduct water extraction and drying services using specialized equipment.
Set up and monitor drying equipment (dehumidifiers, air movers) on-site.
Assess water damage and create detailed reports for customers and insurance claims.
Clean and sanitize affected areas to prevent mold growth and structural damage.
Work with other team members to complete restoration projects effectively and efficiently.
Follow safety protocols and company guidelines for water damage restoration.
Maintain and clean restoration equipment.
Communicate clearly with customers, providing updates and explaining the process.
Ensure all jobs are completed with attention to detail and to the highest standards of quality.
Qualifications:
2+ years previous experience in water damage restoration or a related field is required.
Strong knowledge of water extraction, drying techniques, and mold remediation.
Ability to operate water damage restoration equipment (dehumidifiers, air movers, etc.).
Ability to assess water damage, determine solutions, and implement restoration plans.
Excellent communication skills and customer service-oriented mindset.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Ability to work on-call and flexible hours, including weekends and evenings if necessary.
Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and perform manual labor in challenging environments.
Certification in water damage restoration (IICRC or similar) is a plus.
