Restoration Technician – Water, Fire & Mold

911 Restoration – San Fernando Valley, CA

Full-Time | $19–$22/hr | On-Call | Overtime Available

Position Overview

We are currently hiring Restoration Technicians who are reliable, motivated, and hands-on. You will be on the frontlines of disaster response, working in homes and businesses affected by water, fire, smoke, and mold damage. This role involves demolition, disposal of damaged materials, equipment operation, and light plumbing disconnections. Key Responsibilities:

Respond to property damage situations including water, fire, smoke, and mold

Set up and monitor drying and dehumidification equipment

Demolish and remove damaged materials, including drywall, flooring, cabinetry, insulation, and debris

Disconnect basic plumbing fixtures (e.g., sinks, dishwashers, water heaters) as needed for mitigation

Perform mold remediation in compliance with safety standards

Accurately document moisture levels, conditions, and work performed using company systems

Maintain a clean and safe job site; follow all health & safety guidelines

Communicate clearly and respectfully with customers, team members, and supervisors

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent

Physically capable of lifting/moving 50 lbs, working in tight spaces, and performing manual demolition

Comfortable working in various environments including fire-damaged, mold-contaminated, and low-light conditions

Experience disconnecting residential plumbing fixtures is strongly preferred

Strong attention to detail and time management

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check

Previous experience in restoration, demolition, or construction preferred

IICRC certification a plus (not required—we provide training)

Schedule:

10-hour shifts

Availability for on-call, night shifts, holidays, and weekends

Overtime frequently available
