Position Overview:

As a Water Well Driller, you’ll take the lead in operating drilling equipment, ensuring the safety and productivity of your crew, and performing all essential tasks involved in the construction and decommissioning of water wells. This role is hands-on, physical, and perfect for someone who takes pride in quality work and staying busy.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Monitor drilling progress and adjust processes as needed

Communicate professionally with project managers and customers

Adhere to OSHA and all federal/state drilling regulations

Collect, label, and store samples

Oversee safety and productivity of the drilling crew

Operating drilling rigs and heavy machinery

Safely transporting equipment and materials to and from job sites

Setting up rigs and completing drilling and installation tasks

Maintaining equipment, tools, and work areas

Perform daily inspections, maintenance, fueling, and greasing

Install well heads, casings, screens, grout, gravel packs, and plug wells

Document geological formations encountered on-site

Ensure all materials needed for each project are prepared and available

Safely store and secure all heavy equipment

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for extended periods

Full range of motion including bending, crouching, lifting, and reaching

Must frequently lift 50–100 lbs.

Ability to climb ladders and work in various outdoor conditions

Must pass a pre-employment physical and drug test

Must be able to wear required PPE

Willingness to travel to job sites throughout the project duration is a must

Working Conditions:

Outdoor work year-round — rain, heat, cold, and everything in-between

Regular travel using company vehicles

Occasional overtime (12+ hour days) and overnight stays may be required

Minimum Qualifications:

English reading, writing & basic arithmetic

Valid Class A CDL

Minimum 3 years of well-drilling experience

Pay & Schedule:

Full-Time Position

$23 – $28 per hour DOE
