Wireless Internet Installer/Technician

We are a small, friendly, customer service oriented Wireless Internet Service Provider (WISP) located in Atascadero, CA looking for an enthusiastic technician to perform installations and technical support for our fabulous customers. We take pride in installing wireless network equipment to provide high-quality internet access.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

- Installation of network equipment at customer premises and network sites (includes installing radios on roof mounts or poles, running CAT5 wire, affixing ends, etc)

- Troubleshoot existing connections at customer and network sites

- Site Maintenance (weed whacking, solar panel cleaning, etc)

- Educate customers on WIFI coverage and capabilities

- Perform Site Surveys for new connections and document installation requirements

- Maintain truck cleanliness and organization

- Complete jobs and tickets with our online software

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

- Applicant should have a high school education or equivalent

- Experience/Knowledge in installing and repairing networking equipment

- Great customer relation skills

- Great written and verbal skills

- Great organizational skills

- Professional appearance and demeanor

- Must understand computer networking fundamentals (ie, IP addressing, basic routing/subnetting)

- Must have a strong work ethic and desire to be part of the team

- Must be able to lift 65lbs and perform heavy and technical mechanical duties.

- Must be able to safely climb ladders and work on tall buildings

- Must have clean driving record and current driver's license

- All applicants will have a background screen performed post offer/pre-employment

At least one year experience is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour

Applicant must be able to reliably commute to Atascadero daily or plan to relocate before starting work (Required)
