Workers Compensation Case Manager

Well established Workers Compensation Applicant firm is seeking a full time, experienced Case Manager to join our firm. We are looking for someone who is highly motivated, upbeat and is Bilingual (English/Spanish). You will work as a team in conjunction with another experienced Case Manager and a dedicated Attorney. The right candidate should have a minimum of 3-5 years experience in Workers Compensation (Applicant side preferred). Our firm prides itself in obtaining the best results for our clients and we are looking for a like-minded individual to join our team.

Requirements:

MUST BE BILINGUAL (English/Spanish).

Proficient with Excel, Outlook and Word.

Excellent communication skills.

Strong work ethic with a positive attitude.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, high volume environment.

Dependable, punctual and have reliable transportation.

Organized, hardworking with the ability to work independently and as a team player.

Excellent customer service skills.

Familiar with Work Comp terminology.

Most importantly - have a passion for helping people.

Responsibilities Include:

Manage a case load of approx. 250 files from consult to settlement.

Preparing files for depositions, hearings and trials.

Answering a high volume of client, adjuster and legal personnel phone calls on a daily basis.

Meet with clients and other professionals to discuss details of case.

Filing and serving Workers Comp documents.

Proficient in EAMS E-filing system.

Familiar with WCAB procedures.

Preparing and processing legal documents such as trial exhibits, petitions, objections and DOR's.

Filing online panel requests.

Filing and serving medical reports and subpoenas.

Scheduling AME/QME medical exams and interpreters.

Resolving calendar conflicts and hearing issues informally to avoid unnecessary appearances.

Maintaining up-to-date electronic files in a paperless environment.
