Prepare income and balance sheet statements, consolidated statements and various other accounting statements and reports. Provide support, development and/or leadership guidance to all volunteers.Perform all duties and responsibilities in compliance with standard operating procedures and other applicable Federal, State, and local regulations.
WHERE YOUR CAREER IS A FORCE FOR GOOD (Key Responsibilities): . Analyze financial reports and records; make studies or recommendations relative to the accounting of reserves, assets, and expenditures.
Review and verify the accuracy of journal entries and accounting classifications assigned to various records. This may include accounts receivable/payable ledgers.
Coordinate accounting matters with other departments, locations, and divisions.
Conduct special studies and develop or recommend accounting methods and procedures.
Analyze accounting data, business results, and developing management reports. to the accounting of reserves, assets, and expenditures.
ScopeIndividual contributor that is fully proficient in applying subject matter knowledge. Knowledge based acquired from several years of experience in particular area. Work independently and may instruct, or coach other professionals.The salary range for this position is $76,120 -$89,960This job will be posted for a minimum of five business days and extended if the applicant pool needs to be expanded.Note that American Red Cross salaries are aligned to the specific geographic location in which the work is primarily performed. Other factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, how many years of experience you have and comparison to other employees already in this role.Qualified candidates must be authorized to work in the United States. The American Red Cross does not sponsor employment visas.WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (Minimum Qualifications ):
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration or related field required.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.
Management Experience: N/A
Knowledge of applicable principles, concepts, practices, and standards.
Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Basic proficiency in use of Personal Computer, word-processing, spreadsheet applications, and database applications when applicable.
Ability to work on a team.
Travel: May travel and participate in meetings and conferences throughout chapter jurisdiction, state, and Red Cross system.
