Our industry-leading client needs a talented API Developer to implement backend software solutions to serve both internal and external customers.
This is a contract to hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.Rate: $57 - $67 / hr. w2 Responsibilities of the API Developer: - Build and maintain backend solutions
- Build and maintain continuous integration pipelines
- Utilize AWS services to create and maintain a scalable API platform
- Utilize AWS services to create and maintain data processing solutions
- Collaborate with other data analytics teams to build enterprise solutions
Requirements of the API Developer: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineer, or equivalent STEM field, or equivalent education and experience
- At least 4 years of software development experience developing RESTful APIs, on-prem or in AWS
- At least 1 year of software development experience, including educational experience, using AWS services
- Good understanding of computer science fundamentals
- Python, AWS data analytics and web application services
- Docker, React, Java, Spring Boot framework
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Experience using containerization
- AWS batch/streaming a plus
