Application Developer (Remote) GavinHeath is partnering with a client looking to add an Application Developer to their team. The role is a direct hire position. Our client is seeking an Application Developer to work with a dedicated team that supports mission critical applications across private datacenters, AWS, and Azure. Applications are web based leveraging IIS, .NET, and SQL Server. Deep knowledge around troubleshooting applications and virtual servers in the cloud is preferred. You should have a passion for optimizing application health and reliability, looking at everything from the application code to the servers logs and memory usage. Responsibilities :
  • Developing and deploying solutions in ASPX and VB.NET using Visual Studio, Azure DevOps, and Team Foundation Services
  • Tracing behavior in the web, application and database layers. Reviewing and providing optimizations for web services, IIS, SQL Server, and networking
  • Extensive knowledge of TSQL, including query optimizations techniques and database analysis tools like Redgate or Solarwinds Database Performance Analyzer
  • Debugging the application, reviewing or enhancing logging, performing trace and root cause analysis, working with DLLs, and using a disassembler to understand compiled code from a third-party vendor
Qualifications :
  • Work experience working with Amazon Web Services cloud technologies
  • Extensive experience in .NET Core and C#
  • Experience developing and deploying serverless technologies
  • Experience configuring and monitoring application performance using Amazon Web Services monitoring or another monitoring solution
  • Proven ability to collaborative with multi-disciplinary teams of business analysts, developers, data architects, and subject matter experts
  • Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with nonverbal, logical or scientific symbolism such as formulas, scientific equations, and graphs. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
  • Ability to read, analyze, and understand common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents; Ability to respond to complex or difficult inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community
  • Contacts with other departments or offices and also frequently with individuals in middle level positions; consulting on problems that necessitate judgment and tact in presentation to obtain cooperation or approval of action to be taken. Also, important contacts with associates as required in advanced supervisory jobs
