Application Specialist

Maxar is hiring for an Application Specialist to join our team in the Westminster, CO area. The Application Specialist role provides Level 3 support for Microsoft applications as well as Slack, Zoom and WebEx. This includes troubleshooting issues, application updates, documentation, end-user support and learning.

The Application Specialist is a member of the Collaboration Services Team which supports and maintains many of Maxar's collaboration-based tools like M365 email, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Slack and Zoom.

The Application Specialist's goal is to enhance adoption and maximize collaborative use of our applications while maintaining an up-to-date and secure environment.

  • By analyzing support and ticket trends, you help target the right learning content for individual users, teams and MaxIT support teams.

  • By developing and delivering training/learning, you contribute to Maxar teams maximizing their collaborative capacity using Maxar applications.
  • By creating and supporting application Communities of Practice (COP), you help foster a sense of community and fun for Maxar team members that are passionate about application features and functionality.
  • By acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), you help foster the growth and adoption of Maxar applications by supporting new add-in/product and integration requests.
  • By executing with a sense of ownership about the applications you support, you will be able to learn new things and embrace opportunities to improve Maxar's capacity to collaborate and the user experience with our applications

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must =
  • Prior experience supporting desktop, web and mobile applications for Windows, VDI and Mac, iPhone and Android.
  • Experienced in supporting Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel), Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Project and Visio), Slack or Zoom
  • You have acted as a point of escalation for application related issues and tickets, including troubleshooting issues presented and manage vendor tickets/escalations to closure.
  • You've worked with the Help Desk and other IT support teams to increase Tier 1 and 2 application knowledge.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Microsoft Office Specialist Associate Certification or have passed any of the required exams (MS-100, MS-200, MS-300, or MS-400)
  • certified Slack Admin or Slack Developer
  • You're excited about developing and delivering application learning.
  • You like building a sense of community and are passionate about applications yourself.

The compensation range for this position is $66,000 to $110,000 annually, dependent on skills and experience.
