Application Support / Security Manager - Denver, Colorado - $70k + Excellent Benefits An industry leader in the Hospitality industry is looking for a Application Support / Security to join their expanding IT Department in Denver Colorado.

The Application Support / Security Manager is the primary technical subject matter expert in all systems assigned to them. The Application Specialist will work closely with key business partners to ensure the application being delivered has been developed and is performing as designed and within business requirements. The individual will also be instrumental in supporting the application and ensuring issues are resolved with the vendor in a timely manner. The position will also support application development, integration, and enhancement. As Security Manger is responsible for the ongoing management, maintenance, and reporting of Information Security and PCI Compliance. Responsible for reporting compliance metrics and developing ongoing Information Security controls, education training programs, and documentation management for information security and PCI compliance policies Assist in the creation and implementation of strategic vision for IT Security including (but not limited to) PCI Compliance, GDPR Compliance and protection of personally identifiable information.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary relationship manager with vendors of assigned systems.
  • Coordinate with the vendors to resolve any application issues/problems.
  • Support the business users implementing new/amended functionality or process.
  • Ensure vendors adherence to customer service levels.
  • Keep abreast of all application and functional changes and inform the business.
  • Support requirements definition during feasibility and initiation project phases.
  • Ensure that business strategy is translated into workable functionality and process.
  • Collect and record any enhancements that are suggested by the business and present them to vendors.
  • Complete specifications for agreed changes and enhancements to systems.
  • Provide business knowledge and analytical skills to project teams in support of systems implementations or enhancements.
  • Cross train on systems supported by peers in order to achieve depth of understanding and flexibility of support within the IT organization. Provide support to secondary systems as required.
  • Manage the development of custom reports or data extractions.
  • Complete special projects as assigned or assist other team members in the completion of projects or support issues as necessary.
  • Participates in IT Manager on Duty on call rotation
  • Prepare and conduct a GAP analysis of IT security at the property, corporate and enterprise levels.
  • Prepare and manage IT security plans for all levels of the organization.
  • Identify appropriate hardware and software tools as well as processes, procedures and recommendations for IT security and compliance to internal and external programs.
  • Provide coordination of incident response programs related to PCI, GDPR, PII and other technology related compliance programs.
  • Assist in the development audit components for Millennium's Compliance Audit.
  • Maintain Compliance Reporting Metrics.
  • Create and maintain documentation related to IT Security and ensure that these standards are followed.
  • Complete special projects as assigned or assist other team members in the completion of projects or support issues as necessary.
  • Conduct research on new and existing technologies and implement them as necessary.
  • Assist in the training of other IT associates.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience as a technical subject matter expert for assigned software systems.
  • Experience with hospitality centric applications is preferred - specifically (but not exclusively)
    • Property Management Systems (PMS) Oracle Opera Required
    • Point of Sales Systems (POS) Simphony Oracle
    • Sales and Catering Systems Delphi FDC
    • Revenue Management Systems - Ideas
    • Customer Relationship Systems (CRM)
    • Central Reservations Systems (CRS)
    • Guest Survey Systems
  • Proven experience with information security practices and requirements.
  • Strong software development skills in API integration, automation, and business process.
  • Strong knowledge of IT security practices, firewalls and networking.
  • Ability to design, develop, and implement automation and integration solutions across business systems
  • Strong hospitality and customer service skills.
