Job Description

As an incoming member of our team, you will be assisting in all phases of the design process for a variety of commercial, healthcare and education sector projects. You have some professional production experience with Revit and AutoCAD and a passion for design. You thrive working collaboratively on an experienced team and can confidently present your design choices. How you’ll spend your days:

  • Assisting with the production of architectural drawings and designs using Revit, AutoCAD and Sketchup
  • Working on a wide variety of projects, including healthcare, retail and grade A office, municipal or education sectors
  • Participating in client meetings to collect, process, and develop conceptual designs and preliminary plans
  • Working with the project design team to develop construction documents while following internal budgets that help ensure profitability goals are met
  • Maintaining accurate and timely documentation on individual work
  • Communicating with all stakeholders - ensuring projects are meeting expectations, staying on schedule and on budget
  • Dedicating yourself to professional development toward licensure and a future Principal

Qualifications

What you’ll need to be successful:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture
  • At least 1 year of professional architectural design experience
  • Production experience with REVIT and AutoCAD – we also use Sketchup
  • Basic understanding of building codes and construction
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with an action-oriented mindset – creative and process-oriented with a focus on delighting the client
  • Strong communication skills - an active listener, well-spoken, and confident presenter
  • Naturally self-directed, resourceful, with an agile mind – you can switch priorities quickly
  • Building strong relationships with your team and your client for outstanding project outcomes is one of your foundational values
  • A desire to be part of a growing firm - taking ownership of a variety of interesting projects – you’re no one trick pony!
