If so, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.This position is responsible for driving and supporting successful execution of integration efforts and processes related to new business development opportunities supporting Sports Medicine, Concussion and Orthopedic Programs.The position provides proper post-operative wound care and education, removal of sutures and dressing changes to post-surgical patients as directed by the attending physician. Develops and implements patient management plans, assists in provision of continuity of care from office visits through surgery if necessary as well as therapy needs.Location: Greeley Orthopedic office 5890 W 13th st. Suite 101, Greeley, CO 80634 and Loveland clinic office 2555 E 13th St, Suite 105 Loveland CO 80537.Schedule: Mornings clinic, afternoon school coverage, some weekends. Summer is fulltime clinic coverage. Clinic Hours; Monday - Friday 8am to 5pm. This position will help to cover a local high school for athletic competitions and also assist in the orthopedic clinic for the remaining hours. Approximately 15 hours school coverage and 25 hours clinic.Fun mix of providers that are enjoyable to work with and to assist with for clinic coverage. Flexibility of clinic coverage and school coverage schedules to match needs of both components. We currently have more than 1,000 physicians and more than 3,500 total employees in our group and are seeking others to enhance our ability to deliver our nonprofit mission of providing excellent patient care.POSITION SUMMARYThis position administers athletic training services in a community or clinic setting under the supervision of a supervising physician. These services include, but are not limited to, school screenings, injury prevention programs, athletic consults, injury assessment, and treatment and case management of injured athletes/clients undergoing rehabilitation. This position frequently attends practices and games for area schools and athletic clubs and community athletic events.CORE FUNCTIONSEvaluates injuries and develops treatment and exercise plans within the scope of practice. Re-evaluates treatment plans, as needed, to ensure maximum patient benefit.

Implements individualized therapeutic interventions, and monitors responses to therapy to ensure client safety. Reports progress and medical changes to referring physician or appropriate medical provider.

Educates clients, families, and coaches regarding injuries, risk factor modification, and exercise programs.

Conducts injury screening clinics, educational programs, and workshops to promote safety and injury prevention.

Documents patient treatment according to professional and regulatory standards.

Has freedom to determine how to best accomplish functions within established procedures and scope of practice. Confers with supervisor on any unusual situations. Positions are facility based with no budgetary responsibility. Internal customers: All levels of nursing management and staff, medical staff, and all other members of the interdisciplinary health care team. External Customers: Physician offices, patient families, third party payers, and medical supply companies.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s degree in Athletic Training or related field from an accredited university training program.Current National Athletic Trainers Association certification and must possess a valid athletic trainer license issued in the state of practice. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.Requires the ability to work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare providers.
