Job Title: Process AuditorJob Summary: The Process Auditor plays a crucial role in the meatpacking industry by ensuring the accuracy and reliability of yield bone tests performed on meat products. This position involves conducting thorough examinations of carcasses and bone samples to determine the yield and quality of meat cuts. The Process Auditor works closely with production teams, quality control personnel, and management to uphold industry standards and maintain product integrity.Key Responsibilities:

Perform Yield Bone Tests: Conduct yield bone tests on meat carcasses using standardized procedures to determine the proportion of meat and bone in specific cuts and verify product yields.

Sample Collection: Collect bone samples from selected carcasses for analysis, ensuring representative and unbiased sampling techniques.

Data Recording and Documentation: Record accurate and detailed data on yield bone test results, including weights, measurements, and any other relevant information. Maintain comprehensive documentation of test procedures, observations, and findings.

Quality Control: Monitor the quality and consistency of yield bone tests, ensuring adherence to established protocols and industry regulations. Identify and report any deviations or discrepancies promptly.

Inspection and Analysis: Inspect carcasses and bone samples visually, manually, and using specialized tools to evaluate quality, tenderness, and any signs of abnormalities or defects.

Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with production teams, supervisors, and quality control personnel to communicate test results, resolve issues, and address any concerns regarding yield bone testing.

Equipment Maintenance: Ensure proper functioning and calibration of equipment used for yield bone tests. Report any malfunctions or maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel.

Compliance with Safety Standards: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. Follow personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements and report any safety hazards or incidents.

Continuous Improvement: Contribute to process improvement initiatives by providing suggestions for enhancing yield bone testing efficiency, accuracy, and overall productivity.

Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on industry regulations, standards, and best practices related to yield bone testing. Ensure full compliance with applicable laws and regulations governing meatpacking operations.

Qualifications and Skills:High school diploma or equivalent; additional relevant certifications or education in meat science or food technology is a plus.Prior experience in a meatpacking or quality control role is preferred.Strong attention to detail and ability to perform precise measurements and calculations.Knowledge of meat cuts, anatomy, and characteristics is highly desirable.Familiarity with yield bone testing procedures, equipment, and industry standards is an advantage.Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and provide accurate reports.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound judgments.Physical stamina to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks as required in a meatpacking environment.Compensation: $24.75/hr with a $1 shift differential for B shift.The company is dedicated to ensuring a safe and secure environment for our team members and visitors.
