Business Intelligence Analyst I MUST BE LOCAL TO COLORADOGavinHeath is partnering with a client in Centennial, CO looking to add a Business Intelligence Analyst I to their team. The role is a 6 month contract position with possibility for conversion. The role is remote but will require some onsite in the beginning for training so candidates must be local to the Denver area.Responsibilities :The Business Intelligence Analyst I will help facilitate the use of data for all business users using different Business Intelligence Tools, especially PowerBI and SSRS. They will monitor data integrity alerts and maintenance needs, build reports and shared data sets, manage file transfer schedules and data import jobs, develop custom analysis, and often utilize T-SQL query language. An ideal candidate will possess the skill to explore beyond the initial request received and work with the end-user and team lead to determine an optimal long-term solution while also adhering to data privacy and other technical best practices. They will be a team player within the BI group, Business Applications team, and Information Technology department.Essential Functions:- Review reporting requests and update or create published reports and ad hoc outputs to present data that's insightful and accurate. Fulfilling these requests may require integrating multiple data sets by writing or modifying SQL code that connects to the enterprise data warehouse. There may be varying levels of data analysis, design and architecture planning, and training on the deliverable. Provide analysis, design implementation, maintenance and training for enterprise data projects and tasks.
- Perform regular monthly maintenance with established processes for secure file transfer to and from vendors and ancillary applications; monitor more frequent established processes for regular member communication data files
- Maintain documentation and create or update technology operational procedures based on changes in the environment or workflows for ETL Processing, Report development, and release to production; adhere to established scripting and formatting best practices guidelines. Attend and present at regular code review sessions with the team.
- Meet with business units to gather requirements, explain findings, and confirm outputs meet the end-user specifications
- Occasionally respond to alerts or planned maintenance outside regularly scheduled hours
