Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity for an organized and detail-oriented Part Time Bookkeeper in Boulder, Colorado. This role is 20 hours per week and is expected to be in office 100% of the time. In this role, you will be responsible for managing all financial transactions, from fixed payments and variable expenses to bank deposits and budgets. You will also be responsible for auditing financial documents and procedures, reconciling bank statements, and calculating tax payments and returns.Responsibilities: Maintain and balance general ledger by preparing a trial balance and reconciling entries. Oversee and manage the general ledger. Reconcile and balance all accounts. Collate and analyze account data and generate financial reports. Process accounts payable and receivable, depending on role. Manage invoice and payment processing. Handle monthly payroll using accounting software. Organize and update financial records. Prepare and post journal entries. Review and implement financial policies. Ensure timely payments of expenses, evaluation of accounts, and preparation of monthly financial reports. Utilize bookkeeping software, online spreadsheets, and databases. Adhere to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines. Prepare financial statements such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Participate in financial audits and assist in the preparation of financial statements. Perform account reconciliations and handle the internal audit. Collaborate with accounting and management team to set budgets, monitor spending, and processing payroll and other expenses. Prepare all necessary internal reports for management and regulatory agencies.Requirements Minimum of 3 years of experience in a bookkeeping role Proficiency in account reconciliation Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Familiarity with bank reconciliations Proven track record in bookkeeping Demonstrable data entry skills Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Experience with month-end close processes Knowledge of RealPage and Yardi Property Management software Ability to prepare and post journal entries Experience in property management accounting and working with a property management company Familiarity with HOA processes Experience as a full charge bookkeeper Proven experience in collecting payments, payment processing, and payments reconciliation Comfortable with posting payments.
