SCOPE OF OPEN ROLE Job Title: Business Analyst III (Senior) Operations Number of Positions: 1 Target Start Date: ASAP Duration: 6-9 months Contract only, or Contract to Hire?: Contract to hire (dependent on candidate following full-time application process) Work Location Address: CoBank HQ - 6340 S Fiddlers Green Cir #1908, Greenwood Village, CO 80111. Predominantly Remote Hours per Week/Schedule: Hybrid flex (1-4 days per month). 40 hours/week Will this contractor work any OT (please note that non-exempt workers will bill OT at 1.35x standard bill rate)?: Not expected at this time Business Justification (increased work load, backfill, MLOA, etc.): To support the critical bank priority of enhancing the CoBank Portal platform. PROJECT/SKILLS Describe the project they will be working on: Portal Authentication and Entitlement project will consist of standardizing our customers to Ping authentication services. Job Description/Responsibilities: See below Type of background you are looking for (education, # yrs experience, etc.): 5+ years of experience. College degree preferred Top 3-5 Skills Needed:Soft skills: Self starter: being able to learn and do work on their own but not being afraid to ask questions. Excellent coordination and communication skills.Technical skills: Experience on portal / web projects beneficial. Banking and financial experience is a huge plus, but not required.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:The essential functions include, but are not limited to:Validates requirements and assures that outcomes are aligned with the CoBank Platform’s business goals and business requirements.Defines and develops business process workflow diagrams and data flow diagrams to identify, supplement and clarify business opportunities and the underlying business requirements.Meets with stakeholders and subject matter experts to identify, define, and document business and functional requirements.Understands the importance of non-functional requirements which can include system quality attributes, such as usability, security, reliability, performance, availability, and scalability.Communicates regularly with key stakeholders, subject matter experts and the project team to ensure alignment, understand progress against deliverables, and identify issues and solutions as needed.Assists in designing and developing new solution test plans and test scripts.Assists with user acceptance testing, and the tracking, and resolution of related issues. Supports the project hand-off process and gathering of lessons learned.Promotes and supports organizational change management objectives, including training and end user adoption of new technologies and solutions.Other Duties and Responsibilities:Participates in special projects, and performs other duties as assigned Basic Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Information Technology or other relevant discipline.5+ years in a business analyst or technology leadership role – related business unit experience would be an assetOther Qualifications:Strong Interpersonal and consultative skills – Seeks understanding, excellent listenerNatural ability to liaison between business groups and third parties/vendorsProficient in data and business process analysis - Business Process Modeling (BPM) and Continuous Improvement (CI) capabilities/skills would be an assetIndustry knowledge – Ideally at both the Company and Platform levelAnalytical Problem-Solving capabilities – Decision maker, assertive, seeks to understand the win-winExpert requirements elicitation skills – seeks root cause and a thorough evaluation of the problemOrganizational Change Management skills – strong listener, change agent, promotes understanding and adoptionOrientation towards solutions and the identification and creation of business value opportunitiesProven experience with the Microsoft toolset including Visio and Project along with other tools relevant to assessment/analysisSelf-starter/learner - ability to adapt to fluid situations and manage through complexityOptimizes work processes through an ongoing growth in understanding of business requirements, processes, and softwareFundamental analytical and conceptual thinking - orientation towards problem solving and root cause analysisDetail-oriented and able to deliver at an elevated level of accuracyExperience creating reports and giving presentations – comfortable with executive level discussionsSoftware development life cycle (SDLC) expertiseWell versed in Waterfall and Agile methodologies Special RequirementsAvailability for occasional work outside normal business hours. Availability for occasional travel.
