The candidate will work across Business Units, with R&D teams, and with end users to promote specific Siemens solutions powered by modern technology. This person will report to the Manager of Complex Projects Organization.Siemens is looking for a Business Development Manager focused on large and complex projects. The candidate will work across Business Units and with sales to coordinate and strategize large, multi-segment-opportunity projects. This position will focus on how the Siemens Electrical Products offering fits in to the overall Smart Building requirements of greenfield opportunities. By establishing key relationships across Business Units and with the project design teams, this individual will provide critical consulting services with large, high-probability opportunities. This person will report to the Manager of Complex Projects Organization.Candidate can live anywhere in North America so long as they are near a major airport. If so, we'd like to meet you!Responsibilities:Must have the ability to review complex bills of material & offer alternative solutions (bill of material optimization) to customers that drive incremental value over the competition.

Must have the ability to work across business units and across the industry to identify and incubate high-value opportunities.

Ability to identify key stakeholders of the project design process & represent Siemens products and technologies to those stakeholders. Able to evaluate business opportunities & make recommendations on specifications, system design, and product application.

Knowledge, Skills, and Education/Requirements:Bachelor’s Degree/Advanced degree & combination of 5+ years of sales/engineering experience.

5 plus years’ experience with product solutions for construction applications.

Manage thru conflict & navigate discussions with various stakeholders that may or may not agree on a solution for a particular opportunity.

Self-starter & motivator who can create and maintain key customer relationships.

Have a strong understanding of Medium & Low voltage power distribution.

Have a strong understanding of the Siemens Smart Infrastructure solution offering.

Working knowledge of the electrical industry and/or the specific markets listed.

Ability to travel 50%.
