Job Title: Cyber Range Chief Engineer L3-3747

Job Location: Colorado Springs, CO.

Job Summary The contractor shall provide planning, managing, and engineering support to the National Space Test and Training Cyber Range Integrated Program Office (IPO). Provide integration throughout USSF and DoD space and cyber, to include executive systems engineering, interface definition and requirements management, interagency collaboration, and strategic architectural planning to effectively support space and cyber program test and training requirements. Possess experience in space and cyber systems design, architecture definition, and functional analysis; experience in CONOPS development, trade studies, and requirements/interface definitions; experience in leading small teams; experience with large scale end-to-end space and cyber systems architecture development.

Education / Certifications

  • Master's degree, relevant work experience and training may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Skills / Experience Required

  • Minimum of ten (10) years of DoD work experience
  • Provide recommendations to senior leadership to help ensure mission success
  • Leading range development by designing and implementing range architecture, network infrastructure, communication systems, data management, baseline management, and cyber range instrumentation
  • Providing specification and detailed schematics for network infrastructure, trade studies and developing cyber range architectures to support test and evaluation of complex state-of-the-art systems for space and cyber applications
  • Interacting with space and cyber range customers, range acquisitions organizations, cyber system architects across USSF and other mission partners
  • Leading space and cyber range CONOPS development, requirements definition, multi-segment interface definition, architecture integration, functional analysis, risk management, and space and cyber range design activities
  • Supporting space and cyber range architecture integration and interfaces with operational and training system
  • Develop architecture briefings, reports, and other associated architecture documentation
  • Able to take proactive measures to prevent problems rather than reactive by nature
  • Strong verbal and written communication to effectively express concepts, plans, and proposals

Security Clearance Must be a U.S. Citizen. A high-level Department of Defense (DoD) active security clearance may be required. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to government information.

Physical Requirements Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time and typing and reading from a computer screen. Must have enough mobility, including bending, reaching, and kneeling, to complete daily duties in a prompt and efficient manner and may include lifting thirty (30) pounds, as necessary.
