This team is responsible for the HIPAA Security Rule program and Promoting Interoperability security risk assessment as well as other regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include assessing and identifying security risks, and developing and monitoring plans to reduce security risk.The Cybersecurity Analyst is responsible for conducting enterprise, facility and application security risk assessments. You will conduct risk assessments that meet the requirements for HIPAA Security Rule and Promoting Interoperability and other regulatory requirements. You will focus on assessing security controls, identifying risk, and providing insight to the organization on sustaining compliance with all relevant policies and regulations. You will also participate in designing corrective action plans for mitigating risk.Technical, writing, visual presentation, and communications skills are a must. Proven security compliance experience is preferred.The Cybersecurity Analyst, will report to the Policy and Assurance Regulatory Compliance System Manager as part of Governance Risk and Compliance which is focused on identifying, assessing, managing and reducing security risks to the overall CommonSpirit organization.Job Responsibilities
Conduct security risk assessments in compliance with HIPAA Security Rule and Promoting Interoperability and other regulatory requirements.
Perform security and compliance related activities including: collect and review relevant compliance-related data, conduct analysis, and identify key risk indicators. Determine mitigation approaches and monitor for completion of corrective actions for areas not in compliance.
Analyze and report on outcomes of compliance activities in support of Key Risk Indicators.
Act as a communication point and maintain up- to- date knowledge of healthcare compliance and regulatory requirements.
Partner with cross-functional departments in IT and organization to foster a culture of security and compliance.
Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
Bachelors Preferred
2-3 years job related experience preferred
