ManpowerGroup has partnered with a leading Financial Services organization in the Chicago, IL & Denver CO for a contract Data Architect to assist their team.Title: Data ArchitectLocation: Chicago, IL & Denver CODuration: 12 monthsProject Summary:Position will collaborate with lines of businesses to understand their business processes and data needs to map to data models. The role will define and analyze data requirements, conduct data driven analysis of the usage of detailed data elements across the business domains and is responsible for independently conducting quantitative analytics. Additional responsibilities include assisting in performing current state data architecture and tooling assessment across all data domains supported by control functions, defining and maintaining the blueprint for managing data assets, mapping relationships between data, process, business, system, and technology as well as assisting in establishing a capabilities framework for varies data tools.Responsibilities:-Defines, creates, and enhances data models for operational and reporting needs for specific domains.-Understands and collaborates with lines of business to map business processes to data models.-Defines and analyzes data requirements.-Design logical and physical data structures that support the requirements.-Ensures adherence to the enterprise data movement, quality, and accountability standards in technology.-Conducts data driven analyses of usage of detailed data elements across the business domain to provide optimal data provisioning patterns across the application space.-Responsible for independently conducting quantitative analytics.-Assists in development of new models, analytic processes, and system approaches.-Assists in performing current state data architecture and tooling assessment across all data domains supported by control functions.-Design conceptual structures and plans to meet the current and future state data requirements.-Develop and maintain the strategic business data model.-Analyze and align with other business models.-Define and maintain the blueprint for managing data assets. Map relationships between data, process, business, system, and technology.-Assists in establishing capabilities framework for varies data tools.Qualifications:-3+ years’ experience in relational and dimensional data modeling as well as metadata build and management.-Need to understand regulatory controls in a data environment-Hands on expertise in relational and NOSQL database systems. Strong SQL and Python skills a must.-Thorough understanding of real time, batch, and event-based data provisioning.-Hands on experience in ETL and API based data provisioning patterns.-Needs to be a skilled communicator with tools like Vision, PowerPoint, and be able to quickly put together and present ideas to large groups clearly and effectively.-Strong Excel skills experience working with large amounts of data, conducting analysis and present findings-3+ years of experience as a data architect in a complex data environment-3+ years domain knowledge of the data domains supported by control functions(Finance, Regulatory Reporting, Compliance, Operational Risk, HR, Legal, Marketing, Audit, etc.) and experience in financial service industry.-3+ experience with architecture and design of large scale shared data solutions with multiple stakeholders.-Hands-on design and implementation experience with one/more of the following data tools:-Data Analysis / Profiling – Python (Jupyterlab, PyCharm,etc), Toad, MySQL-Data Platforms – Hadoop, Spark, Oracle, Exadata, SQL Server, DB2, MongoDB, Teradata, Splunk-Data Transformation – Informatica, SSIS, Alteryx, Trifacta-BI – Tableau, Microstrategy, metadata/lineage tools, Distributed Caching tools.-Strong knowledge of database modeling principles, techniques, and enterprise data management best practices.-Familiar with Data Governance process – identify critical data elements, metadata, data lineage, data dictionary, data model, Data Sharing Agreements, Service Level Agreements, Data Management Standards.-1-3 years’ experience with Data Quality measurements/Scorecards, Control, & Remediation along with Data reconciliation techniques.-Able to independently architect solutions, lead code reviews and ensure quality throughout the life of each project.-Experience working as part of the Agile team and using Agile SDLS tools-Demonstrate strong communication, analytical and organizational skills and strong presentation skills.Desired Skills:-Experience working with large amounts of data, conducting analysis and presenting findings.-Knowledgeable in Audit and regulatory concerns.-Experience with next generation tools and technologies is a plus (AI/ML, RPA etc.)-A bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in computer science or related fieldFrequently Asked Questions:
