Estimated Salary Range: $94,000-$125,000. Salary commensurate with skill set and experience.

The Data Engineer III will be responsible for the development efforts toward the creation, implementation, and support of existing and next-generation software solutions. This role will also analyze, design, program, debug, and modify software enhancements and/or new products used in local, networked, or Internet-related computer programs. The Data Engineer III will interact with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain data engineering solutions for the enterprise data platform
  • Assists with stories while working with and/or shadowing other individuals on the team.
  • Analyze business requirements and work with teammates to formulate supporting design and design documentation
  • Maintains code, bug fixes, and writes code supporting team members.
  • Codes web applications following specifications and using the appropriate tools. Follows best practices.
  • Interacts directly and works closely with team members. Participates in all team meetings and ceremonies.
  • Applies AGILE concepts and works collaboratively and closely with QA in an Agile/Scrum environment.
Other Responsibilities:
  • Development in Python, SQL, and Node.JS.
  • Technical writing in relevant areas including wikis, reports, and presentations.

Must Haves:
  • BS Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Statistics
  • 5+ years of data engineering experience building business intelligence applications with exceptional SQL, PL/SQL, and/or Python skills
  • 5+ years of experience of ETL development in a big data environment
  • 5+ years working in an agile development environment
  • Development experience using the following services: Lambda, RDS, Glue
Nice to Haves:
  • API Development
  • Snowflake
  • D3.JS
  • Node.JS
  • AWS or Similar Cloud Certifications
