Key responsibilities include the following: In office work primarily Work with engineering team in developing preliminary and final design plans and details Participate in design reviews to evaluate design concepts and make recommendations Use MicroStation, AutoCAD, ArcGIS, OpenRoads Designer, Civil3D, and other civil engineering design software Produce documents with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) Follow various DOT Standards and work with companies’ CAD Standards when applicable Development of drainage plans, profiles, specifications and estimates for transportation and other water resources projectsQualifications Associates degree in computer-aided design, 3D modeling, drafting, survey or similar program experience 0-2 years of experience in the computer-aided design, modeling or drafting field or experience Proficient in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation (2D & 3D) Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) Experience with Civil 3D, Bentley InRoads, Revit is an advantage General knowledge of engineering principles and materials for civil engineering work Ability to comprehend civil engineering drawings Critical thinking skills necessary with the ability to plan and conceptualize Capable of recognizing discrepancies with strong attention to detail Critical thinking skills necessary with the ability to plan ahead and conceptualize The ability to clearly communicate and collaborate with team membersAdditional Requirements:Absent an approved exemption, due to federal, state, local, provincial and/or client-requirements, this position may require an individual to be fully vaccinated by an FDA-approved or authorized COVID-19 vaccine or undergo weekly testing upon hire and as a condition of continued employment.
