DescriptionPosition Title: Facilities CoordinatorDepartment: MaintenanceLocation: Greeley, COReports to: Facilities SupervisorPosition Overview: The Facilities Technician is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and overall upkeep of the organization’s facilities. This role involves performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and addressing day-to-day issues with building systems to ensure a safe, clean, and efficient environment. Responsibilities also include performing carpentry tasks, lawn care, and snow removal to maintain the aesthetics, safety, and functionality of the facilities and grounds.Key Responsibilities:
Preventative Maintenance:
Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, electrical systems, plumbing, and other building systems.
Repairs and Troubleshooting:
Diagnose and repair malfunctions in facilities systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural issues.
Diagnose and repair malfunctions of shop systems such as compressors/air lines, garage doors and openers, and exhaust fans.
General appliance maintenance and repair of refrigerators, microwaves, garbage disposals, washer and dryers.
Carpentry Work:
Perform basic carpentry tasks such as installing, repairing, or maintaining doors, windows, walls, furniture, and fixtures to ensure facility functionality and safety.
Lawn and Grounds Maintenance:
Oversee lawn care activities including mowing, trimming, planting, and general landscaping to keep the grounds well-maintained and presentable.
Snow Removal:
Safely operate snow removal equipment to clear walkways, parking lots, and access points during winter months. Apply salt or other de-icing materials as needed to prevent accidents.
Safety Compliance:
Ensure that all facility systems, repairs, landscaping, and snow removal work comply with safety regulations and company policies.
Facility Upkeep:
Perform regular checks on facility cleanliness and structural integrity. Address issues such as damaged walls, faulty doors, lighting fixtures, etc.
Emergency Response:
Respond promptly to emergencies such as power outages, leaks, snow accumulation, or system, failures. Take corrective action to mitigate damage and restore functionality.
Coordination and Documentation:
Assist in coordination of off-site location vendor repair and maintenance. Document work performed and maintain accurate records.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED required.
Technical or vocational training in facilities management, carpentry, HVAC electrical or plumbing preferred.
2+ years of relevant experience in facilities maintenance or as similar field.
Lawn, landscaping, snow removal experience
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Basic computer skills for record-keeping and maintenance logs
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform tasks that involve physical labor such as bending, climbing, and standing for extended period of time

Working Conditions:
The Facilities Technician will work both indoors and outdoors, sometimes in adverse weather conditions. May be required to be on call for emergency situations outside of regular work hours.

Base salary range of $20-$25/HR depending on experience
