Job Title: Field Imaging Technician

Report To: Imaging Manager   

Location: Hot Sulfur Springs, CO.

Schedule: Monday – Friday

Hours: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm less a 1-hour unpaid lunch (30 - 40 hours per week)

Hourly rate: 18.00    

Start date: ASAP and will last through April.

In this position you will be converting archival materials to digital format using a high-resolution image capture system. Seeking candidates with strong organizational skills, with a basic understanding of computers. Must be able to start ASAP and work through April.

Description:

     Properly handle fragile and rare archival materials

     Support the preparation of materials for imaging.

     Image documents, photographs, maps, etc.

     Verify work and maintain a high level of accuracy.

     Adhere to the code of confidentiality in cases where discretion should be used.

     Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Skills:

     Ability to learn handling of library or archival material.

     Basic understanding of how to operate a computer.

     Ability to understand and follow oral and/or written directions.

     Maintain production area in a neat and orderly condition.

     Self-motivated and ability to work independently with minimal direction.

     Physical ability and dexterity to accurately position documents for imaging.

     Must be able to work standing for a period of four to eight hours (Imaging)

     Must have complete range of motion and full manual dexterity with both hands.

     Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing

     High attention to detail required.
