Functional Safety Engineer ( ISO 26262 )

The Functional Safety Engineer shall be responsible for safety work products development in several domains such as firmware, hardware, and validation. In this role you will create/maintain all necessary work products (e.g., hazard & risk analysis, safety requirements). The position is responsible for verifying successful implementation of safety features, validating that required safety has been achieved, and guides, coaches, and supports implementation of functional safety on the project.Job Duties:• Work closely with the Functional Safety Manager and engineers to ensure ISO 26262 (Functional Safety) standards are implemented• Analyze the architectural designs and engineering processes applying safety analysis methods to develop system level Technical Safety Concept and Technical Safety Requirements• Lead the safety analyses (DFA, FMEDA, DFMEA) for the project• Perform technical assessments for the system safety compliance to ISO 26262• Responsible for aligning the product development team in accordance with ISO26262 requirements• Communicate with team members in different time zones (China standard Time, Central European Time)• Develop training and guidance documentation for all functional safety processes and products.Must have Qualifications:• Bachelor's or master’s degree in electrical engineering, software or comparable• 2+ years of experience in functional safety for automotive, 5+ years preferred• Solid understanding of ISO 26262• Comprehensive knowledge of risk analysis, safety assessment, and FMEA• Comprehensive knowledge of ADAS or other embedded systemsNice to have Qualifications:• Expert knowledge of ISO 26262• Functional Safety Certification (FSCAE – Functional Safety Certified Automotive Engineering)• ASPICE and IATF 16949 knowledge• Experience with storage devices primarily SSD’s
