Description Robert Half has partnered with a non-profit organization in search of a General Ledger Accountant! The General Ledger Accountant position is offering a hybrid schedule and is paying $80,000-$110,000 and they're offering a generous benefits package! The General Ledger Accountant will be responsible for the following:
Guidance and review of all accounts, general ledger and subledgers, accounts payable and receivable, and payroll to ensure compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and Government Accounting Board statements.
Prepares and posts journal entries on a daily, monthly, quarterly and annual basis relating to assigned funds.
Completes month-end closing checklist and performs actual system closing.
Reconciles on a monthly basis various general ledger accounts to subsidiary ledgers or external statements.
Participate and in some areas lead the preparation and coordination of annual audit activity, including ensuring preparation of fully reconciled and error-free audit workpapers to facilitate a timely and efficient audit process.
Work closely with housing manager to ensure that expenditures are consistently aligned with program budgets throughout the contract period.
Work closely with housing manager to prepare financial reporting materials as well as related support of program reviews and audits.
Maintain internal control and safeguards for receipt of revenue, costs, program budgets and actual expenditures.
Requirements for the General Ledger Accountant include:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
3+ years of accounting experience
Sage Intacct experience
Preferred qualifications for the General Ledger Accountant include:
Non-profit or governmental accounting experience
Master's Degree in Accounting
