If you accept a position at this hotel, you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International, Inc.As General Manager, you will have overall responsibility for establishing and implementing current and long-range objectives, plans and policies, capital plans, and financial goals in regard to the entire operation. You will be responsible for consistently delivering results that contribute to the mission and overall success of the hotel.PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:The General Manager will coordinate, direct and manage day-to-day hotel operations.Embrace leading a solid team to being a better team, training and developing them to excel in their roles and continuously improve; motivate associates to exceed expectations of the guests; passionately uphold and elevate a positive work environment for the internal guests – our associates.Prepare yearly budget and marketing plan along with sales team.Holds property leadership team accountable for strategy execution, and guides their individual professional development.Support and communicate company goals and initiatives, promote company and corporate programs, and act as an ambassador of the company.Ensure the portfolio operations are functioning within the financial parameters established in the budgetPromote teamwork and cooperation.Maintains regular attendance.Ability to read, analyze and critique monthly P&L’s.Maintain a high level of staff relations. Hosting monthly appreciation lunches etc.Work with corporate revenue manager to ensure rate structures and participate in weekly revenue calls.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:At least two years General Manager experience, in select-service hotels of similar size and caliber.Experience from Marriott brands are preferred.
