Job Details

Currently seeking a Geotechnical Engineer for a large land development engineering and environmental consulting service firm. Project Types include: renewable energy, healthcare, education projects, and large infrastructure. Responsibilities include: preparation of technical reports, specifications, plans, designing foundations, retaining walls, and other geotechnical aspects of construction.

Position Overview:
  • Perform field inspections of geotechnical and foundation projects;
  • Responsible for engineering analysis of common geotechnical engineering problems;
  • Assist in preparation of geotechnical engineering reports and other project documents;
  • Accurately document and communicate with supervisor on any problems encountered on project sites; and
  • Providing support through training/mentorship for other geotechnical engineers
  • Preparing proposals and cost estimates for geotechnical investigations
  • Interpreting and analyzing geotechnical data to establish engineering properties of materials and foundation recommendations
  • Completing geotechnical engineering analyses including seepage, slope stability, bearing capacity, settlement, and rotational stiffness
  • Performs other duties as requested.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required
  • Master's degree with Geotechnical specialty preferred;
  • 5+ years of related geotechnical work experience
  • CO PE license
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities;
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
