The Steamboat Grand, located at the base of the Steamboat Ski Area, is looking for full-time housekeepers this summer! Previous housekeeping experience preferred.

Detailed job description, including responsibilities, work performed, tools or equipment used, etc.:Clean floors, vacuum, sweep, dust, mop, wash, strip, wax, buff and shampoo carpetsWash windows, walls, tables, dust furniture, fixtures and woodworkPerform some routine inspection of electrical, heating and ventilating equipmentFollow established health and safety procedures for using cleaning chemicalsStrip and make the bedsUse vacuum, mop and full bucket of water, and like equipment to cleanClean and stock bathrooms- wash tubs, shower walls, countertops, sinks and mirrors Clean and stock kitchens- clean refrigerator, stove, countertops, cupboards and put dishes away. Compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory requirements. Other duties, as assigned

Minimum skills, experience, and education required for this job:Basic knowledge and skills of routine housekeeping preferredAdhere to all safety policiesStay on task and organizedSafely meet or exceed housekeeping cleaning standardsSmile and greet guests in a consistent and friendly mannerMaintain a friendly, cooperative and productive work environmentInteract and maintain positive relationships with guests, co-workers and management consistent with SSRC’s Service Excellence standards

Physical Requirements:Must be a minimum 18 years of age Continual lifting, standing, walking and pushing cart for long periods of timeLifting and carrying a minimum of 30 pounds such as trash and linen bundles

Miscellaneous information: This position is hourly and subject to overtime pay Employment is contingent upon successful completion of background check Pursuant to county and/or state orders and company policies, every employee is required to self-monitor for COVID-19 symptoms, practice social distancing, wash hands frequently, wear a mask per current guidelines, self-report and call in immediately and stay home if sick and assist with sanitizing and disinfecting work areas. Employees must follow all resort mitigation plans and protocols, which can be found posted on resort buildings and on Beekeeper

The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term and long-term incentives and many region-specific benefits.

Steamboat area base hourly pay range: This position is based on a piece rate formula. Points are assigned based on unit size. Potential earnings are $15.00 - $25.00 per hour.
