We are currently seeking a 3-7 year BIM Designer to perform computer aided drafting for the Mechanical Engineering department

Candidates should have experience working in MEP design for commercial projects and must be proficient in Revit

This company is an international MEP and technology systems consulting engineering firm providing engineering solutions for large scale, complicated, and fast paced projects worldwide

They operate from 10 offices around the USA and 4 global offices and provide opportunities for their employees to work on some of the most exciting and innovative projects around the nation and world

Some of these project types include: sports facilities, theaters, convention centers, hospitals, laboratories, office buildings, municipal facilities, multifamily and more

Primary responsibility is to support mechanical engineers on a wide variety of project types

Duties include managing Revit models based on engineering redlines for mechanical and plumbing systems and working with other technicians and engineers to coordinate multiple building systems

This role will also work closely with the CAD Manager to help maintain and develop Revit families in the Revit database

This position will also utilize AutoCAD for various 2D designs

Initially this person will be working on local projects and long term could work on larger scale national or global projects

BIM Designer can sit out of Golden, Dallas, or Kansas City offices

Qualifications:

3-7 years of experience in commercial building design

Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, Word, and Excel

Familiarity with Outlook and FTP software

Ability to mentor and lead more junior staff

LEED accreditation is a plus

Strong verbal and written communications skills

Successful experience in project management and client interaction
