If you are a CONTROL SYSTEM ENGINEERING professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Boulder, Colorado location, you will provide Engineering design and support to Operations in the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (AME) Department. Your duties and responsibilities will be completed under the general mentorship of the AME Engineering Design Manager. You will exercise independent judgment and decision-making within the scope of this job.As an Industrial Control System Engineer, You Will:Lead the control system programming of industrial manufacturing systems, with focus on automation and robotics design.
Work cross-functionally with AME design team which includes mechanical, electrical, software engineers, and designers.
Participate in process and instrumentation system definition.
Specify, control components such as servo motors, controllers, sensors, VFD’s, robots, etc.
Understand use of robotics, pneumatics and mechanical systems.
Build basic 3D models and construction drawings of automation and robotic components.
Assist with the review of electrical and network schematics and line drawings.
Help maintain and support existing automation systems throughout life cycle both domestic and international.
Lead or contribute to the implementation of new automation and robotic systems world-wide.

You deal constructively with problems that do not have clear solutions or outcomes.Required Education, Experience, & Skills:Bachelor’s degree in electrical, computer, systems, robotics or mechatronics engineering, or similar required.
1 to 3 years of control system design experience.
Must have strong technical skills in an engineering field, and a demonstrated track record of successfully assisting with and completing engineering projects.
Excellent teamwork and social skills.
Ability to work in the field assembling, setting up and commissioning large scale automation equipment.
Willingness to travel up to 8 weeks throughout the year, domestic and international

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills:Experience with CAD, creating construction models, schematics and bill of materials. SolidWorks is preferred.
Experience programming or maintaining PLC systems.
Experience with robotics and/or automation equipment.
Prior internship or co-op experience highly preferred.

You can choose to flex your start and stop times given you are working during the core hours of 9:00am - 3:00pm.
