Job Description

We are seeking an IT Operations Leader for a direct-hire/permanent role in Englewood, CO. This role will be onsite in the Englewood office with in-office responsibilities. Any type of telecommuting options would be discretionary, but there are no remote options for candidates residing out of state due to the need to come into the office with short notice. There may be a relocation package available to those who wish to relocate to the Denver area.,

Inthis role, you will manage end-to-end production support for Enterprise Applications. This team is tasked with supporting a variety of business departments to include: OSS/BSS, Retail, Middleware, and Data Management Systems, including billing, provisioning, activation, authentication, transaction processing, and location service applications. Additional responsibilities incuylde:

  • Develop and lead a world-class team focused on best-in-class reliability engineering and applications operations methodologies;
  • Develop a strong ability within the team to perform effective Incident Management from incident start through resolution, partnering with Development and Deployment to determine root causes, and driving rigorous Problem Management to follow through on actions;
  • Foster and encourage a culture of clear and precise communication, continuous improvement, and employee engagement;
  • Challenge existing methods and drive new paradigms;
  • Provide both strategic leadership for the organization, as well as hands-on tactical daily leadership;
  • Develop strong working partnerships built on responsiveness and mutual accountability with leaders inside and outside of the organization;
  • Set monthly/quarterly goals and objectives and ensure resources are efficiently aligned to organizational goals and objectives.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS in a technical or business discipline (information systems, engineering, computer science, finance, business administration, or accounting) or relevant experience; MA/MS preferred;
  • 10+ years of experience in Information Technology;
  • 5+ years in a senior IT leadership role in a large enterprise environment;
  • Proven track record of building dynamic teams
  • Strong experience with Intake, Problem Management, and Service Availability Management;
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills;
  • Ability to articulate complex situations clearly;
  • Knowledge of public cloud, preferably AWS services and operations;
  • 10+ years experience with BSS/OSS/Retail Applications;
  • Knowledge/experience with configuration management (Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Salt);
  • Knowledge/experience with Infrastructure as Code (IAC) (Terraform, CloudFormation);
  • Knowledge/experience with CI/CD tools and concepts;
  • Ability to establish rapport and credibility, and to influence in a highly cross-functional, matrixed organization;
  • Entrepreneurial attitude and ability to drive best practice innovation;
  • Highly collaborative approach with a strong work ethic;
  • Disposition to embrace challenges and display strong creative flexibility;
  • Familiarity with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).

Additionally, experience is desired in the following areas:

  • Data Networking;
  • Enterprise Software Releases;
  • AWS and Cloud Services;
  • Development Tools and Enterprise Monitoring Systems.

Additional Information

This permanent/direct hire role will be based out of Englewood, CO. This role will be performed in the office (no remote options for out-of-state candidates). There is relocation assistance available to candidates who wish to relocate to the Denver area for this role. The salary can exceed $200,000+ per year for this role for the right candidate.
