  • Overview:

    We are seeking an experienced IT technician, to work alongside the existing IT Service Desk team, and help users at their desks within the Denver office with laptop and desktop related faults and issues. This will enable the Service Desk to concentrate on helping remote users and reduce the wait times for in office users to get deskside assistance.

    Duties and responsibilities
  • Floor walking and IT hardware configuration support for end-users - no phone calls
  • Imaging of laptops, desk setups, stock check of assets and assignment
  • Work as part of a team to provide user support and maintenance requests with a high level of customer service
  • Respond to end user IT queries in the office and at their desk
  • Install, diagnose, repair, maintain, and upgrade all PC hardware and peripheral equipment to ensure optimal workstation performance
  • Maintain updated tracking of support requests, incidents, escalations, and resolutions in ticket system
  • Active Directory duties such as password resets and unlocking accounts and checking group memberships
  • Perform MAC requests (Move, Add, Change) for laptops and desktops to support end users
  • Create tech documentation to support both the desktop services team and end users
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned
  • Technical skills and qualifications
  • Three years' experience in related field
  • Results-oriented and customer focused
  • Solid understanding of various desktop OS environments including Windows, MacOS and Office 365 application suite
  • Solid grasp of supported hardware platforms. Ability to configure and set up Windows Desktops and laptops. Diagnose problems with hardware components
  • Working knowledge of supported printers, fax machines, scanners, and other hardware peripherals. Ability to install, configure, perform preventative maintenance, and troubleshoot hardware problems. Solid understanding of software driver installation and network printer installation and support
  • Basic knowledge of Ethernet network topology and wireless LAN's.
  • Ability to access, download, and retrieve technical information from on-line services
  • Experience working with high pressure, large scale, and complex system environments
  • Ability to write clear training guides and procedural documents, both technical and non-technical
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong organisational skills, time management, and troubleshooting/problem solving skills
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment
  • Highly motivated with a passion for technology and technical detail with a can-do demeanour
  • Always maintains a professional manner and remains calm under pressure
  • Initiative, willingness to seek and achieve improvements to processes and technology
  • Good time management / planning - manages personal workload effectively, sets realistic and achievable targets and delivers those targets
  • Desire to follow best practice and development standards as agreed within IT
