Junior Component Engineer

Job Description

SEAKR is looking for a motivated, energetic Component Engineer (EEE Parts Engineer) to support the selection, application and test of components for state-of-the-art spacecraftelectronics. Job responsibilities include:

• Selecting electrical, electronic and electromechanical (EEE) components based on space program requirements and maintaining Bills of Material (BOM)
• GeneratingNon-Standard Part Approval Requests (NSPAR) and supportingapproval processes with customers
• Developing component qualification and upscreening requirements (including COTS components for use in space applications)
• Generatingcomponent qualification and screening reports
• Generatingspecifications for new custom components
• Performing pre-cap source inspections at supplier facilities
• Reviewing & dispositioning component test data &destructive physical analysis results
• Supporting component level failure analyses and supplier corrective action activities
• Communicatingclearly & effectivelywith management, suppliers & internal/external customers
• Maintaining an in-depth understanding of manufacturer’s technologies and process capabilities for various part types
• Supporting project design reviews internally and with customers

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related Engineering field is required
• 0-2 years of experience working in PMP (Parts, Materials, Processes) engineering or related Product Assurance field
• Advanced degree(s) may substitute for years of experience

• Basic understanding of Electrical/Electronic/Electromechanical (EEE) parts performance requirements and/or Military or Industry specifications
• Someone with strong organizational, writing, and communication skills
• Someone with the ability to handle shifting priorities, multiple projects and timeline pressure to meet deadlines
• A self-starter who develops solutions to technical issues
• Experience with MS Office software

Additional Information

• Compensation: Base payrange is $65,000-75,000depending on qualifications.
