CACI seeks a talented Satellite Systems Engineer - Junior Launch Integration Specialist, to join TEAM FROST supporting the NROs Operations Squadron at Schriever SFB, CO.

What You'll Get To Do:

Work in a team of launch integration specialists engaging with launch providers that develop launch systems lofting NRO satellites. Participate in the operations and sustainment of the NRO satellite systems by sustaining, developing, and operating the NOPS LANCE and supporting networks enabling satellite commanding on-orbit and launch activities. TEAM FROST emphasizes strong teaming skills, engagement at all levels, and sustained professional development. We expect to start with your assigned position, and then grow your skills and professionally expand your skills over time. Candidates for this position should have experience supporting system integration, testing, readiness support and ascent operations. This position encompasses duties including, but not limited to, the following:

  • Support pre-launch testing and readiness events, day-of-launch operations, and contingency operations
  • Development and coordination of mission planning documentation pertaining to a launch campaign
  • Creation, review and implementation of launch testing, planning, and operations procedures

  • Support anomaly resolution and troubleshooting efforts
  • Support internal and external customer engagement
  • Create, utilize, and brief link margin analysis
  • Provide inputs to process improvement
  • Collaborative mindset toward continuous process improvement
  • Provide operational inputs to overall engineering development and testing
  • Support to various operations status, engineering review, and problem boards
  • Support to ground system development work, working groups, and test and checkout
  • Support to cross-contract operation resiliency efforts at SSFB

More About the Role:

  • Supporting Office of Space Launch NOPS mission, operations personnel, and infrastructure.
  • Maintain awareness of system requirements and extant challenges to identify areas of concern or improvement
  • Works with the enterprise to solve mission challenges with processes and technology including hardware, software, databases, operating systems, and networks.
  • Maintains systems operations, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility and maintenance
  • Provide technical direction for on orbit mission support, plan for critical vehicle malfunctions and recommend alternate operating techniques to continue maximum mission support.

You'll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Current Top Secret/SCI clearance with requirement to obtain a CI polygraph
  • 3+ years experience with solving complex and/or parallel problems
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to work within a dynamic operational environment
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to pivot within a dynamic operational environment
  • Proficiency with MS Office products

These Qualifications Would Be Nice To have:

  • NRO experience
  • Experience with testing, development work, or system integration
  • Collaborative mindset toward continuous process improvement

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is: $59,900.00 - $119,800.00
