Hours: Monday-Friday 8am-5pmEducation/Experience Required: B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering Job Description & Responsibilities :We have a full time regular position in the Linux Operating System area within the Control Unit Development organization in Boulder Colorado. The Control Unit Development Team delivers high quality solutions composed of Linux-based software running on multiple hardware platforms, in the control of Continuous Forms and Cutsheet Printers. Our software engineers are generally involved in every phase of the development process, including architecture, planning, design, implementation, unit test, documentation, and providing ongoing support for product test and field support groups.

The successful Linux Operating System engineer must be a confident Software Developer who is very comfortable working within the Linux environment.

Engineer will be Ramping-up on customizing our OpenSuse Linux OS environment and all of its install scripts and RPM packages. They may be installing rack-mount "blade " servers.

Skills & Qualifications :
  • Experience Someone with C programmers, BASH scripters and candidates that understand RPM and Linux drivers are ideal.
  • Skills should include C/C programming, Linux O/S experience, scripting, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Interpersonal skills should include teaming, self management, multitasking, as well as possessing a positive, cooperative, and dedicated attitude.

  • C/C programming skills and experience, 5 or more years
  • Python/Bash scripting skills and experience, 5 or more years
  • Linux O/S skills and experience, 5 or more years
  • Advanced problem solving skills
  • Able to solve technical problems in a complex environment
  • Linux driver development experience
  • Linux boot/initialization knowledge and experience
  • Linux kernel memory management knowledge and experience
  • Linux Network interfaces knowledge and experience
  • Linux scheduler and performance tuning knowledge and experience
  • Excellent technical writing, organization, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Business casual dress code such as slacks and polo type shirt.
